About Us
After learning to fly helicopters in the Lewis-Clark Valley and applying his flying skills locally in various applications, owner Mark Stanton invested in his own helicopter and spent six consecutive summers maintaining and flying his helicopter on various missions in Alaska. In 2008, wantng to spend more time closer to home, he and his wife, Jeanie, founded KiwiAir in Clarkston, Washington. They plan to grow the company from the ground up by sharing their love of flying in a helicopter, providing world class helicopter tours, and giving first rate helicopter services. With personal touch and attention to detail, they are working to succeed.

Company and Culture
When you enjoy what you do for a living, it shows. At KiwiAir, we love what we do. Personal experiences, attention to detail, safety always in mind — these attributes allow us to continue providing experiences of a lifetime and great services.
It is one thing for a helicopter service company to talk the talk, and most companies do, but it is another to actually walk the walk. We try and hold ourselves to a higher standard every day, and we hope it shows. We have an impeccable safety record, and our clients enjoy coming back to us.
KiwiAir is an FAA Parts 135 and 133 approved air carrier for helicopters and is licensed to provide a variety of services to meet customer requirements.

Expereinced Pilots
Our pilots have years of experience flying in some of the most challenging environments. From the busiest airspaces (Washington DC) to some of the most remote (the Alaskan wilderness).
But more than being just good pilots, they strive to make passengers feel comfortable and safe. They are also good tour guides, as they have an ever-expanding knowledge of the area’s history and geography.
Mark Stanton
Owner, Pilot, and Mechanic
Mark is the Kiwi in KiwiAir. A native of New Zealand, Mark has been in aviation for over twenty years, and has been flying helicopters for more than ten years. He has spent several seasons in Alaska flying utility and seismic support, long-line applications, tours, fish and game support, etc. You name it, Mark has probably done it in a helicopter in Alaska. Having a wife who hails from Clarkston, Washington, and wanting to spend more time closer to home, Mark has brought all of his flying expereinces back to the mountains, canyons, and plateaus of the Columbia Basalt region year round.

Reliable Helicopters
We fly the state-of-the-art Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters. The R44 is the world’s top selling helicopter offering reliability, safety, and operating costs that are much less than that of a small turbine helicopter.
Our helicopters are clean and comfortable. Everyone has a window seat offering great views of the spectacular scenery that only the northwest has to offer. We can accommodate three passengers and baggage, cruise at about 100 knots airspeed, and travel over 300 miles before having to refuel.
Each passenger is also provided headset, making on-board communication easy and trouble-free.
Our helicopters are maintained to the highest standard by our on-site, factory trained and certified technician. Not only does he have years of experience maintaining and rebuilding Robinson Helicopters, he is an experienced pilot as well (over 3,000 hours pilot in command in Robinson helicopters).

Maintenance You Can Trust
Are you looking to have your Robinson helicopter maintained to the highest standard? KiwiAir is a certified Robinson service center, and owner Mark Stanton is a Certified A&P/IA Mechanic at Kiwi Air and has been servicing Robinson helicopters, and rebuilding them, since 2003. He will maintain your aircraft and equipment to the highest standards and will make sure your helicopter and documentation is up to date and in compliance with all Airworthiness Directives, inspections, and appropriate Service Bulletins. Mark is also an avid pilot with over 3,500 hours PIC in Robinson helicopters. "Having flown in the unforgiving environment of Alaska for six years, and having hauled countless external loads, I can safely say that I bring valuable flying knowledge and experience to the maintenance hangar. Through these experiences and others, I have become very familiar with the inner workings of Robinson helicopters -- I know what makes them work more smoothly and efficiently, what oils and maintenance schedule can help you avoid “sticky valves”, and what hundred dollars spent now will help you avoid spending thousands of dollars later."
